INFORMATION HANDBOOK

Deductions from Benefits

If you were overpaid unemployment benefits in Minnesota or any other state and you haven’t paid them back, between 50% and 100% of your benefit payments may be kept in order to reduce your overpayment amount.

If you owe child support in Minnesota or any other state, child support will be withheld from your weekly benefit amount. If you believe that too much child support is being withheld, contact the child support agency that is enforcing the support order.
