Eligible Minnesota renters who have experienced hardship due to the pandemic can receive help with rent and utility bills dated on or after March 13, 2020.

Energy Assistance Program (EAP)

Renters and homeowners with incomes under 50 percent of the state median income (<$52,014 annually for a family of 4) may be eligible. EAP provides grants for home energy costs ranging from $200 to $1,400, based on household size, income, and heating fuel cost. Crisis funds are also available.
